Another one from my photoshop collection. I know there are a couple of mistakes but this is another one of my favorites. I found all the images online (the characters and the emblem in the back) but I positioned them as they were all separate images and put them on a black background. I put it in what seemed to be the best positioning of characters for how the characters were positioned individually and then also by role in the series and then with the Gears of War logo behind all of them. If your a fan of Gears of War I hope you really enjoy this picture. It’s just an homage to probably my favorite gaming series.
This is another part of my photoshop week. This one was probably my favorite at the time just because of what it meant to me and is still up there today. It’s a man walking down a road through the universe. It was for a special friend a couple years ago and basically meant, “I’d go to the end of the universe for you”. Cheesy I know, but I thought it was pretty clever, cool, and cute. She liked it to. And although the girl is gone and the names change even if the story is the same, I just like this picture. Plus, it doesn’t have to necessarily be for a person; it could be for any goal in life. It could even be to never give up and just push on through to the end; we’re all capable of success, we just have to put in the time and the work.
This week I’ll be talking about some of my different photoshop works that I’ve done in the past. This is one of my favorite because it’s of my favorite creature, the Phoenix. Phoenix are able to reborn themselves and I think that’s such a cool idea from an animal mythological perspective, but that it also can be symbolized so much in real life. We all go through tough times but it’s our duty to come out as a better person because of it. Or sometimes we just have to make changes in our lives to hopefully better ourselves, or even in a religious way we might be reborn. Whatever it may be, there are plenty of situations that rebirth can be imagined in our own lives. I like to see it as a new beginning, which I believe the phoenix to stand for. And I like this in particular because it was my own kind of personal logo that I had made and it’s super simple. It’s just the phoenix itself made of ashes and flames, while its in it’s own territory of the same kind of thing.
This is the view from my dad’s place in the Caribbean. We have a wraparound balcony so there’s another shot where you can see more of the bay to the left, but I chose this one because you can see far into the horizon and see other islands. Plus, this is the side the sunrises on which is annoying when trying to sleep, but when your awake to watch it it’s pretty beautiful. But overall the Caribbean, and St. Thomas, USVI in particular, is one of my favorite places in the world. It’s so beautiful and with a view like this from the room, one can only begin to imagine how beautiful the rest of the island is. It’s truly an amazing place and if you ever have the chance to go you definitely should. Plus, you never know, I might be able to hook it up with a place.
This is probably the most recognizable building in NYC to me. It’s The Daily Bugle from Spider-Man! It was cool to be in this little area and see a building I recognized so well. I know it’s been in tons of movies but it’s basically a monument to me. And again, I like the contrast on the building since its darkened by all the other tall buildings around it. You can really tell that NYC has a ton of tall buildings as this one is pretty talk itself yet it’s still shaded by even taller buildings.
A shot from my trip to NYC a couple years back. Went with my mom a couple of weeks after winter break (because it was cheaper). It was definitely a cool experience for my first time in NYC. We went to Washington Square Park and since it was my first time to NYC, it was weird to recognize so much of it from movies or pictures I had seen. I recognized this from the movie I Am Legend since it was right outside Will Smith’s character’s house and was a part of the final battle scene. Although it also is known as The Washington Arch, I mainly knew it from that movie. But either way, I though it was a cool looking structure and from this photo I liked the contrast between the arch itself and the background.
This is from my first trip to Mill Avenue in Tempe, AZ. I know it’s hard to see the sign, but I still think it looks good. I went there with a couple of friends to get some pizza. The pizza was pretty good, but the friends were what truly made the experience. Although it was a bit of a walk from the dorms, probably two miles since it was across the entire campus, it was definitely worth it and a memory I’ll never forget. I’ll never forget the people I went with because they were some of the best friends I ever could hope to have.
